CG donations are offered to support the efforts of registered charities that fulfill at least one of the below charitable purposes:
The creation or support of programs that empower the diverse identities, ideas, and perspectives of the public and community, while also providing equal access to opportunity and advancement, the advancement of community development, including community welfare and economic development.
The prevention or relief of poverty, including relief of unemployment and support of groups that help to grow local economies.
The advancement of education, including youth development organizations, continuing education programs, and scholarships.
The advancement of health, including preventative care and health education organizations, community participation in health recreation, relief of disability, and relief of specific health issues.
The advancement of citizenship or community development, including urban and rural regeneration, improvement or provision of public amenities, preservation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance, development or preservation of particular geographic areas in Bermuda, conservation of particular species of flora or fauna, zoos, sustainable development and biodiversity, recycling and sustainable waste management, renewable energy sources.
The provision of recreational or similar facilities in the interest of social welfare.
The advancement of sport.
The relief of those in need because of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or disadvantage.
The promotion of equality and diversity.
The advancement of environmental protection and sustainability.
